METROSHINE

Field Operations Supervisor Commercial Building Services

Job Description

Field Operations Supervisor - Commercial Building Services Great Falls, VA | Full-Time | DMV Area 70% Lead. 30% Jump In. 100% Own the Day. Are you the person everyone already counts on? Maybe your title today is, or should be, Crew Leader, Lead Technician, Working Foreman, Maintenance Supervisor, Field Service Lead, or Assistant Operations Manager . You're the person who knows who should go where, what tools are needed, which truck should be loaded, and how to keep the job moving when something changes. If that sounds like you, MetroShine may be your next step. We're looking for someone with proven field experience who is ready to take more ownership of the operation. You do not need to know every service we perform . We can teach you our systems, equipment, and processes. What we cannot teach as easily is the ability to lead people, organize multiple moving parts, solve problems, take responsibility, and get things done. MetroShine is growing, and we want someone who wants to grow with us. We expect you to invest your effort in the company, and we intend to invest in your development, training, and future as well. What You'll Be Doing You'll help lead a field team of approximately six technicians , often dispatched across two or three different projects in the same day . Your job is to make sure the right people, tools, equipment, and vehicles are in the right place at the right time—and that the work gets completed safely, efficiently, and to MetroShine standards.
This includes:
Planning and dispatching field crews Matching technicians to projects based on experience and capabilities Reviewing upcoming projects and scopes of work Making sure trucks are properly loaded before crews leave Ensuring required tools, materials, PPE, and equipment are available Coordinating vehicles and specialty equipment Visiting and supervising active jobsites Monitoring productivity, quality, and safety Troubleshooting problems in the field Adjusting crews when projects or schedules change Communicating with property managers and customers when needed Helping train and develop technicians Maintaining organization of company vehicles and equipment Performing quality-control inspections Jumping into the work when the team needs help 70% Leader. 30% Technician. This is not a desk management position , but it is also not simply another technician position. Approximately 70% of your role is leading the operation —planning, dispatching, supervising, solving problems, checking quality, communicating, and making sure everyone has what they need. The other 30% is hands-on . Sometimes the best way to lead is to put on the gloves, grab the tools, and show the team how it's done. What Kind of Work Does MetroShine Do? Our crews work across multifamily communities, commercial properties, data centers, and other facilities throughout the DMV.
Projects may include:
Dryer vent and exhaust-system cleaning HVAC duct cleaning Water remediation and water-damage response Exterior building washing and soft washing Commercial window cleaning Pressure washing Garage cleaning Parking garage re-striping Gutter cleaning Preventive building maintenance Specialty commercial projects You don't need experience in every one of these areas. Someone coming from restoration, HVAC, commercial maintenance, property maintenance, construction, pressure washing, commercial cleaning, landscaping, facilities services, apartment maintenance, or another field-service business could be a great fit. What We're Looking For We care much more about your proven ability to run field work than having the perfect résumé. We're looking for someone who has experience leading people and can manage several things happening at once. You should be comfortable with tools and equipment, physically demanding work, outdoor environments, ladders and heights, and changing jobsite conditions. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who naturally thinks: "What needs to happen next, and how do I make it happen?" Why MetroShine? We're building something. MetroShine is expanding our capabilities, investing in new equipment and technology, developing our technicians, and entering new commercial service categories. For the right person, this isn't just another supervisor job. It's an opportunity to come into a growing company, help shape how our field operation works, learn new trades and technologies, develop a team, and grow your responsibility as the company grows. We want someone who is willing to invest their time and energy with us—and in return, we want to invest in that person's skills, training, and career. If you're currently the person everyone on the crew relies on and you're ready for the next step, we'd like to meet you.
