Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized House & Operations Manager to oversee the smooth functioning of an alternative Mental Health Respite Program. Alyssum is a unique and highly respected Peer Support Organization, which offers short term residential stays to Vermonters who are struggling. This role combines supervisory and administrative support, as well as household management and operational oversight to ensure the house and program runs smoothly in accordance with our values of mutual respect and collaborative management. The ideal candidate will identify as a Peer, have good personal boundaries and self awareness, be able to be proactive and self-directed, have exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for creating an inviting, calm, compassionate and healing environment for folks who need help. You will supervise, hire and train staff, manage schedules, approve timesheets, oversee data collection, keep the house well stocked and ensure all aspects of the program meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and hospitality. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate staff, ensuring they receive proper training and support to do their jobs, avoid burnout and feel listened to, respected and supported Develop and implement efficient schedules and policies for both staff cleaning/maintenance and administrative/data collection tasks, as well as staff reviews, state reporting, outreach and marketing of our program Oversee client intake and assessment process, support staff in managing our assessment, invite and waiting list protocols, as well as supporting staff in responding to complaints and challenging or ineligible clients Oversee household maintenance and property management tasks ensuring repairs and upgrades are completed promptly and effectively Manage household inventories such as supplies, groceries, and equipment to ensure availability and proper stock levels Handle confidential information with discretion while maintaining professionalism in all interactions Approve and manage biweekly payroll, time off/vacations requests Plan for, organize and facilitate weekly staff meetings Be trained for and available to cover infrequent in person peer support shifts if emergency backup is needed
Qualifications:
Personal Wellness Skills Excellent self-care, boundaries and self-awareness. Prompt and reliable. Self motivated and self directed. Able to prioritize, multi-task and complete projects Understand the peer support movement and the program mission. Work as part of a team in a collaborative management system and be responsible as a team member for the project's growth and well being. Support a non-judgmental, safe space for guests and staff through language, behaviors, and actions. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism A good sense of humor and Compassion Strong supervisory experience leading staff with a focus on quality standards Proficient in schedule management, time management, and administrative tasks Knowledge of confidentiality protocols related to HIPAA and sensitive information handling Valid driver's license with clean driving record; comfortable driving residents or staff as needed Exceptional communication skills with a friendly yet professional demeanor

From $25.00 per hour
