The Opportunity:
Join a dynamic environmental services organization that helps property owners and businesses recover from water, fire, smoke, mold, and other property-related incidents. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced restoration leader who enjoys coordinating field teams, maintaining high-quality work, and supporting customers throughout time-sensitive mitigation projects. As a Restoration Superintendent, you will play a hands-on role in overseeing crews, job sites, equipment, safety, and project completion across the Seattle area.
Responsibilities:
Support and assist Project Managers with the production phase of assigned restoration and mitigation projects. Conduct job site visits, inspect completed work, and ensure crews meet quality and production standards. Review schedules with Project Managers to identify staffing requirements, equipment needs, logistics, and project timelines. Coordinate, dispatch, assign, and oversee crews to ensure work is completed efficiently and according to approved schedules. Provide hands-on mitigation and restoration support at job sites when required. Confirm job hours, work orders, documentation, and project updates are accurate and submitted on time. Maintain warehouse organization, vehicles, equipment, supplies, and materials in accordance with branch requirements. Train, coach, and mentor employees on production procedures, safety requirements, equipment use, and company standards. Communicate timely work status updates, recommendations, and concerns to Project Coordinators, Project Managers, and branch leadership.
Must-Have Skills:
Proven experience leading restoration or mitigation crews, including teams of eight or more employees. Strong knowledge of water, fire, smoke, mold, and property damage restoration processes. Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate teams of approximately 20 employees. Effective verbal and written English communication skills for working with employees, customers, and internal departments. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as Dropbox, email, and job management applications. Ability to provide field coaching, mentoring, training, and competency assessments. Commitment to OSHA, EPA, company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and hazard communication standards. Ability to work in hazardous restoration environments and complete required respirator fit testing and safety training. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds with assistance, while performing physically demanding field activities.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills. IICRC, NIDR, or other industry-related restoration certifications. Experience working with insurance-related restoration projects and documentation. Experience coordinating 24/7 emergency response operations, after-hours work, and weekend schedules. Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to mold, chemicals, biological hazards, and contaminated environments. Experience managing warehouse inventory, restoration equipment, company vehicles, and field logistics. Willingness to travel for out-of-town training, meetings, conferences, or project assignments.
