Job Title Part-Time Fine Art Handler / Ceramic Packing Specialist We are seeking an experienced, careful, and reliable part-time Art Handler or Fine Art Packing Specialist to assist with preparing a private ceramic collection for future international shipment. The collection consists primarily of fragile ceramic and porcelain items, including plates, bowls, cups, vases, jars, and several larger pieces. Most items are small to medium-sized. A limited number of larger or unusually fragile pieces may require special handling or professional crating. This is not a general moving or household packing position. We are specifically looking for someone with hands-on experience handling fragile artwork, ceramics, glass, antiques, museum objects, gallery inventory, auction items, or fine art shipments. Responsibilities Carefully handle and pack fragile ceramic and porcelain items Recommend appropriate packing methods and materials Wrap, cushion, double-box, and organize small and medium-sized pieces Identify items that should be handled separately or professionally crated Label cartons and maintain a simple packing inventory Photograph items and cartons before sealing Help organize packed cartons for future container loading Follow detailed handling and safety instructions Work carefully and systematically rather than rushing Required Experience Applicants should have experience in one or more of the following areas: Fine art handling Museum preparation or collections work Gallery installation Auction house handling Antique or ceramic packing Fine art shipping or crating Packing delicate glass, sculpture, or high-value fragile objects General household moving experience alone is not sufficient. Preferred Qualifications Experience packing ceramics, porcelain, glass, sculpture, or antiques Familiarity with double-boxing, foam cushioning, dividers, and custom packing Experience with inventory labeling and photographic documentation Able to identify cracks, repairs, unstable parts, and handling risks Patient, detail-oriented, punctual, and trustworthy Able to lift and move cartons safely Comfortable working in a storage facility Schedule Part-time temporary project Estimated 3-5 working days Approximately 6-8 hours per day Initial paid trial session may be scheduled before the full project Additional work may be available for future packing, storage, or art-handling projects Location [City, Florida / Storage facility location] Compensation $30-$50 per hour, depending on relevant experience Candidates with strong museum, gallery, auction house, fine art shipping, or professional crating experience may be considered at a higher rate.
