Job Description
Job Summary The Warehouse Picker is responsible for accurately locating, selecting, and preparing products for shipment in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. This role requires frequent walking, standing, lifting, and working in varying temperatures throughout the year. Key Responsibilities Pick customer orders accurately using pick lists, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems. Locate and retrieve products from designated warehouse locations. Verify item quantities, descriptions, and quality before packing or staging. Organize and prepare orders for shipping and distribution. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Restock inventory and replenish picking locations as needed. Follow company safety procedures and operational guidelines. Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts. Report damaged products, equipment issues, or inventory discrepancies to supervisors. Meet established productivity and accuracy goals. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse, picking, packing, or distribution experience preferred but not required. Ability to read and follow instructions, labels, and shipping documents. Basic math and counting skills. Ability to operate RF scanners and warehouse equipment preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts. Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds regularly. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with exposure to seasonal heat, cold, humidity, and dust. Ability to work overtime as needed. Work Environment Non-climate-controlled warehouse subject to varying weather conditions. Exposure to moving equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors.
