Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cheese Packer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently packaging cheese products in accordance with safety, quality, and production standards. Your focus will be on ensuring that each package meets regulatory compliance, including FDA regulations and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality food production in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Duties Operate packaging equipment, including automated and manual systems, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to production schedules Interpret manufacturing documents such as batch records, work orders, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to accurately package cheese products Perform mechanical troubleshooting on packaging machinery and utilize hand tools for minor repairs or adjustments Handle materials safely using appropriate material handling equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, following safety protocols and warehouse procedures Conduct quality checks during packaging processes to verify product integrity, weight accuracy, and labeling compliance in line with FDA regulations Maintain cleanliness of work areas, follow safety standards in production, and adhere to GMP guidelines to ensure a safe working environment Assist with inventory management by accurately tracking materials used and finished goods produced, supporting warehouse operations Qualifications Prior experience in manufacturing facilities, especially within food production or packaging environments preferred Knowledge of packaging equipment operation and basic mechanical troubleshooting skills Familiarity with manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), and FDA regulations related to food safety Ability to interpret production documents accurately and follow detailed instructions Mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools and industrial equipment troubleshooting skills Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments, including heavy lifting techniques and safety protocol adherence Valid forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment is a plus Basic math skills for measurements, weights, and quality checks Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous Join our team as a Cheese Packer and become part of a dynamic environment dedicated to producing high-quality cheese products while maintaining the highest safety standards.
