The Seasonal Packer & Downstocker supports The Ceramic Shop's busy season by keeping our retail store and warehouse shelves stocked, organized, and accessible, and carefully packing customer orders for shipment. This hands-on position requires accuracy, efficiency, attention to detail, and safe handling of heavy and fragile products. The ideal candidate is dependable, works well independently and as part of a team, and helps maintain an organized workflow. Job Duties Replenish retail store and warehouse shelves by moving products from backstock, bins, or pallets into designated locations. Maintain organized product locations and ensure shelf labels match the products being stocked. Monitor shelves for low-stock items and communicate replenishment needs. Verify products, quantities, and conditions against provided packing lists before packing. Carefully pack orders according to company standards, using appropriate materials to protect fragile products. Process and print shipping labels, ensuring shipping information matches the order. Label and prepare packed orders for shipment according to company standards. Report damaged products, missing items, or quantity discrepancies to the appropriate team member. Keep packing stations stocked with boxes, tape, and protective materials. Assist with inventory counts, stock checks, and discrepancy reporting. Coordinate with retail and warehouse team members to prioritize stocking and packing needs. Maintain clean, organized work areas and clear aisles. Follow company safety procedures when lifting, stocking, using ladders, and handling materials. Skills and Qualifications Team player with a strong work ethic. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Efficient, accurate worker with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work independently and follow instructions. Strong organizational and communication skills. Comfortable counting products and verifying quantities. Basic computer skills and ability to learn shipping software. Ability to learn product locations and handle merchandise with care. Previous stocking, warehouse, or packing experience is a plus; ceramics experience is helpful but not required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Physical Demands Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including at least two consecutive hours. Must be able to lift and move 50 lb clay boxes daily. Frequent reaching, grabbing, bending, and moving merchandise. May involve occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and handling dry materials with proper precautions. Schedule and Seasonal Availability Available to work throughout the anticipated seasonal period, approximately November 1 through January. May require early mornings, evenings, weekends, and special events, depending on scheduling needs. Exact start and end dates will depend on business needs.

From $17.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
