Brownsville, TX Job Details 3 hours ago Qualifications Construction material handling Moving Materials handling Full Job Description Need for dynamic personnel for our Metal Recycling Facility in the Shredder department at The Port of Brownsville, Texas. Candidates will be part of a production driven team, assisting in material preparation and gathering material by hand, daily housekeeping duties and assist with performing preventative maintenance procedures on our machinery and equipment. Primary Responsibilities Perform general construction labor to include job site clean-up and moving of materials by hand as picker labor in the shredder department. Operating motorized equipment including power tools, saws, hammers, nails, and bolts. Work requires alert individuals with good balance and physical strength. Working during inclement weather, could be exposed to extreme cold and heat, noise and dust from construction operations depending upon project site. Minimum Qualifications Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested. Frequently walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing. Frequent use of hand and power tools. Preferred Experience Preference given to candidates with a minimum of 12 months of construction labor work experience. .
