Purchasing Manager

Job Description

Purchasing Manager responsible for leading procurement operations, supplier management, strategic sourcing, inventory planning, and cost optimization within a manufacturing environment. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field. 5+ years of procurement or purchasing management experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience managing vendor relationships and supplier negotiations. Knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and purchasing best practices. Experience with inventory management and supply chain optimization. Proficiency with ERP systems and procurement software. Experience with SAP, NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms. Experience with cost analysis, spend analysis, and procurement metrics. Ability to travel up to 10% for supplier visits and meetings. Preferred Skills APICS CSCP, CPIM, or similar supply chain certification. Experience in welding automation, robotics, or manufacturing equipment industries. Experience with global sourcing and international supplier management. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and
ISO 13849
standards. Experience with supplier quality management and supplier development programs. Experience with strategic sourcing and procurement transformation. Experience with supply chain re-engineering. Experience with cost reduction initiatives and value engineering. Experience with commodity management and strategic category management. Lean or Six Sigma experience. Project management experience. Job Responsibilities Lead strategic procurement and purchasing activities for manufacturing operations. Source materials, components, equipment, and services required to support production and project schedules. Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, pricing, terms, and performance. Develop and execute strategic sourcing and supplier management initiatives. Manage purchase orders and monitor supplier delivery performance. Support inventory planning and control activities. Analyze purchasing data, supplier performance, spend, and cost trends. Identify and implement supply chain and procurement cost reduction opportunities. Support forecast planning and material sourcing requirements. Manage procurement budgets and conduct spend analysis. Develop sourcing strategies for key commodities and supplier categories. Support global sourcing and international supplier activities. Coordinate supplier quality and supplier development initiatives. Support supply chain optimization and inventory improvement efforts.
Pay:
