Category Strategy Development:

Develop and implement category strategies to drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and mitigate supply chain risks. Conduct market analysis and benchmarking identify new opportunities for cost reduction and innovation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to align category strategies with business needs.

Supplier Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and contains improvement. Lead supplier negations, including contract terms, pricing, and service level agreements. Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.

Procurement Process Optimization:

Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and performance management. Implement best practice in procurement processes, including demand planning, inventory management, and order fulfillment. Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Team Leadership and Development:

Manage and mentor a team of procurement analysts, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. Develop training and development plans to enhance team skills and capabilities in category management and procurement.

Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including potential disruptions, quality issues, and supplier financial stability. Develop contingency plans to address supply chain risks and ensure business continuity. Monitor market trends and regulatory changes that may impact category strategies and procurement activities.

Financial Performance:

Drive cost savings initiatives to meet or exceed annual savings targets. Analyze category spend data to identify cost drivers and develop strategies to reduce total cost of ownership. Work closely with finance to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of category spend.
