Full-Time | On-Site Our client provides a dynamic and growing residential construction environment focused on delivering high-quality homes while maintaining strong relationships with trade partners. They are known for their collaborative culture, operational excellence, and commitment to cost efficiency and continuous improvement. They are looking for you, an experienced Purchasing Manager , to lead cost management efforts across assigned communities. This is a direct hire opportunity offering strong visibility, leadership, and strategic impact within the organization.
What you get to do:
Build and maintain strong relationships with trade partners and subcontractors Forecast and allocate trade partners across upcoming communities Lead negotiations for labor and material purchasing to ensure cost efficiency Partner closely with production teams to ensure responsiveness and adherence to processes Manage and coordinate bid processes for new communities and projects Review plans, scopes-of-work, and specifications for accuracy Analyze base costs and option pricing, especially for new developments Renegotiate vendor contracts and evaluate pricing increases with supporting analysis Communicate product and pricing changes across sales, construction, and vendor teams Adjust base model pricing and support cost comparisons across communities (Proformas) Enter and manage bid data within internal systems (including KOVA) Attend community rollout meetings and provide purchasing insights Lead special projects and continuous improvement initiatives What you need to succeed: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience in residential construction purchasing, estimating, or related field Strong background in cost management, vendor negotiations, and bidding processes Ability to review plans, contracts, and construction documentation Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience with KOVA is preferred but not required Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills What's in it for you: • Competitive compensation package Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) Opportunity to work with a growing and well-established homebuilder High-impact leadership role with cross-functional visibility Collaborative, team-oriented work environment On-site role !
