Position Summary The Corporate Services Strategic Sourcing Manager leads strategic sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiations across corporate service categories such as Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, and Legal. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, service, innovation, and risk while ensuring compliance with corporate procurement policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate combines strong procurement expertise with stakeholder management skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence senior business leaders across multiple corporate functions. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Category Management Develop and execute category strategies for corporate services which may include:
Human Resources :
Benefits administration, recruiting, contingent labor, learning and development, employee engagement programs, relocation services
Marketing :
Agencies, creative services, media, digital marketing, events, market research, branding, promotional products
Finance :
Audit services, consulting, financial services, outsourcing, software, and professional services
Legal :
Outside counsel, eDiscovery, compliance services, legal technology, intellectual property support
Travel :
Travel Management Companies (TMCs), airlines, hotels, ground transportation, meetings and events, expense management solutions, travel technology platforms, and traveler safety/risk management services Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives from opportunity assessment through contract execution. Conduct market intelligence, supplier benchmarking, and spend analysis to identify cost savings and value creation opportunities. Develop sourcing pipelines aligned with business priorities and procurement objectives. Stakeholder Management Establish trusted partnerships with HR, Marketing, Finance, and Legal leadership teams. Translate business requirements into sourcing strategies that support organizational goals. Facilitate cross-functional decision-making and drive stakeholder alignment throughout sourcing projects. Act as the primary procurement advisor for assigned corporate service categories. Supplier Management Evaluate supplier capabilities, performance, financial stability, and risk profiles. Lead supplier selection, RFP/RFQ processes, negotiations, and supplier onboarding activities. Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships to drive innovation, service improvements, and cost optimization. Monitor supplier performance through scorecards, KPIs, business reviews, and corrective action plans. Contracting & Negotiations Lead commercial negotiations to achieve favorable pricing, terms, service levels, and contractual protections. Partner with Legal to negotiate master service agreements, statements of work, and other commercial agreements. Ensure contracts include appropriate risk mitigation, performance metrics, and governance structures. Drive contract compliance and renewal strategies. Financial & Operational Management Deliver annual cost savings, cost avoidance, and value generation targets. Analyze spend trends, forecasting, and budgeting opportunities across corporate service categories. Track sourcing project benefits and report results to procurement leadership and stakeholders. Support procurement transformation initiatives and process improvements. Risk & Compliance Ensure sourcing activities comply with procurement policies, governance requirements, and regulatory standards. Identify and mitigate supplier, operational, contractual, financial, and compliance risks. Partner with internal audit, compliance, finance, and legal teams to support governance objectives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, or related field. 10+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, or supply chain experience. Experience sourcing professional services and corporate service categories. Demonstrated success leading complex sourcing events and contract negotiations. Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills. Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication abilities. Experience managing RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, and contract execution. Proficiency with spend analytics, procurement systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications MBA or advanced business degree. CPSM, CIPS, CPM, or equivalent procurement certification. Experience supporting HR, Marketing, Finance, and Legal organizations in a large corporate environment. Knowledge of supplier risk management and third-party governance processes. Experience with procurement platforms such as SAP and Ariba.
