Job Description

The Night Health Officer is responsible for the health and well being of students who are participating in the residential camp from 3:30pm to 8:00am. This person will be responsible for administering medications and dealing with any health issues that arise during their shift including scrapes, sprains, homesickness, allergies, and more. They will also communicate with parents, teachers, and staff about student health issues. They are also responsible for camp store procedures including, filling orders, making change, and tracking inventory. The Night Health Officer will also assist with evening discipline issues as required by instructors including supervising students sitting out of activities. Compensation $15 an hour. Housing and food provided while there is a group in camp. Requirements WFA or WFR or a medical certification that ranks higher. CPR for the Professional Rescuer.

Preferred:

Prior experience working with children. Housing The Night Health Officer must live on site when overnight groups are in camp. The Night Health Officer is provided housing in a private cabin that has heat, electricity and no indoor plumbing. There is a central bathhouse for staff that has laundry facilities nearby cabins. The main lodge building has a staff kitchenette, staff lounge area, and wi-fi access. Meals are provided during training and when groups are in camp.
