Duties Help This is an Army Nional Guard dual stus technician position th requires military membership, compible military skill assignment and classificion. The purpose of this position is to serve as a primary staff member in the G3/5/7 with responsibility for force integrion and readiness issues.
MAJOR DUTIES
Plans, organizes, coordines, implements, evalues and provides technical guidance to units and major commands in the ste. These tasks are completed as a result of detailed and comprehensive studies which require new or substantially modified work methods, procedures, and systems such as the feasibility of organizion/reorganizion, discontinuion, activion/deactivion, and locion/relocion of units in the ste's force structure. Determines the capability of a community to support a unit based compibility, training areas available, physical facilities, size, etc. Maintains force integrion by tending force integrion staff officer training. Stays informed of force management decisions through understanding of command plan. Develops and recommends plans, procedures and policies pertaining to programs such as military personnel development, equipment availability, unit assignments and utilizion to improve readiness, maintenance and training. Advises management officials to adopt recommended proposals resulting in substantial changes in programs or procedures. Develops the ste long range Force Integrion Plan. Analyzes the management of the ste ARNG Force Integrion Program. Integres new doctrine and force structure in the most effective manner possible, while maintaining acceptable readiness levels. Provides general direction on force integrion actions through publicion of the ste long range Force Integrion Plans which include evaluion of each planned action in terms of structure, personnel, equipment resources, training plans and facilities. Coordines the development and upde of Table of Distribution and Allowance (TDAs) and Modified Table of Organizion and Equipment (MTOE). Analyzes new authorizion documents, identifies conflicts, substantive changes and doctrinal issues, and recommends courses of action. Identifies and recommends priorities for integrion of new doctrine and equipment into the existing multi-echelon, combined arms, and ste training program. Establishes long term and near term milestones for force integrion actions and ensures integrion into the ste training calendar. Develops and publishes letters of instruction for force integrion actions. Manages informion associed with force integrion initiives. Consolides and provides analysis of systems-specific informion contained in the Army Modernizion Informion Memorandum, Merial Fielding Plans, organizional informion found in the Table of Organizion and Equipment (TOE), Force Modernizion Master Plan (FMMP) and doctrinal informion contained in field manuals, field and training circulars and Army Training and Evaluing programs (ARTEPs). Extracts and provides pertinent da throughout the chain of command and across functional boundaries. Serves as point of contact for equipment fielding with Headquarters, Department of Army (HQDA), ARNG, Program Manager (PM), other DA agencies, Ste area Command staff and subordine units. Comprehensive knowledge of, and skill in analytical thinking and evaluive methods force integrion, readiness, force structure and doctrinal programs. Incumbent must be able to support decision for any proposed changes in procedures. Skills in verbal and written communicion to explain recommendions, exchange informion and resolve problems.
