SUMMARY:

Responsible for planning instruction and/or adaption of the education program to enable students to benefit from educational experiences.\n

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

\nMeet with student's IEP team and determine appropriateness of placing the student in our Cyber and CAP program.\nManage and provide instructional guidance and strategies for a caseload of students.\nModify assignments, tests, quizzes and or projects when necessary.\nPlanning, developing, coordinating, and implementing students' individual Special Education Plans\nTimely submission, preparation, implementation of special education documentation, programming, and paperwork including IEPs, RRs, NOREPs, Invitations, progress monitoring data collection, etc.\nCommunicate (email, phone, Skype, in person etc.) with students on a weekly, daily, or as needed basis.\nSupport parents with \"parent-assisted instruction\" and implementing IEP.\nProvide direct services to students including services delivered virtually or in person when needed or required based on IEP.\nProvide support with classwork when needed.\nSchedule, organize and conduct IEP related meetings as needed.\nAssist, as needed, with the organization and proper implementation of all paperwork, documentation and procedures for the IEP process;\nAssist with administering state testing and coordinate the special adaptations that are required based on the IEP.\nCollect and monitor student data.\nParticipate in professional development.\nComply with federal, state, and local special education regulations\nConsult and assist staff who need guidance to help support students with a learning disability.\nAll other duties assigned by district administration.\n

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

\nSalary and benefits in accordance with the Chichester Education Association Collective Bargaining Agreement. Evaluation consistent with district policy and Pennsylvania educator effectiveness requirements.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

\nBachelor's Degree required\nSpecial Education K-12 required\n

WORK EXPERIENCE

\nMinimum of 5 years of teaching experience preferred\n

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Reading:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.\n

Writing:

Ability to write reports, school correspondence, and procedure manuals.\n

Presentation:
