!" Explore Your Wild Youth Programs is looking for a creative, energetic and hands-on STEM Coordinator to join our youth program team! This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with kids and enjoys turning everyday materials into exciting experiments, challenges and learning adventures. About the Position As our STEM Coordinator, you will design and lead engaging STEM activities for youth while creating an environment where kids can explore, build, experiment, ask questions and discover . What You'll Do Create and lead hands-on STEM activities, challenges and experiments Spark curiosity through science, engineering, math, technology, and creativity Design fun projects that encourage kids to ask questions and think critically Help create a space where students can explore, build, experiment, and discover Adapt activities based on student interests, abilities, and energy levels Assist with homework help daily grades 1-8 Assist with other enrichment activities including art, fitness, life skills reading and math games Help maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment Some of the Things You Might Get to Do Design black-light mysteries that have kids searching for clues Make safe, kid-friendly volcanoes erupt Experiment with chlorophyll, slime, rockets and more Build structures and inventions with LEGO and everyday materials Explore simple engineering and physics challenges Create projects that make kids wonder, "What happens if we try this?" We're Looking for Someone Who... Loves working with youth and inspiring their potential Is creative, energetic, full of ideas and can stick to a shoestring budget Has strong classroom/group management skills and can set clear expectations Can think outside the box and adapt on the fly Is comfortable getting a little messy with glitter, LEGO, vinegar, baking soda, slime, and experiments Enjoys asking questions and encouraging kids to investigate and discover Can create an environment that is both fun and structured Is dependable, positive, patient and enthusiastic Bonus Points If You Can... Build a marshmallow launcher Explain why the sky is blue Make a potato light up an LED Turn a simple science lesson into something kids will talk about all week!

Schedule:

Part-Time - Monday-Friday 3:00 PM-5:30 PM. Off during school breaks and school holidays. Starting end of September going through the end of June 2027. This position may go through June 2030.

Pay:

$25 per hour DOE Requirements Must successfully pass a background check First Aid/CPR certification preferred Experience working with children or youth is preferred Experience in STEM, education, camps, afterschool programs, recreation or a related field is a plus Why Work With Us?
