Home Preservation Program Coordinator Position Summary The Home Preservation Program Coordinator supports Habitat for Humanity of Wausau's Critical HomeRepair, Ramp Up Marathon County, Grab Bar Installation, Rock the Block, and other home preservationinitiatives. This position is responsible for coordinating homeowner applications, project planning,volunteer scheduling, and program administration to ensure repairs are completed efficiently andeffectively. This position serves as the primary administrative support for Habitat's growing repair programs and worksclosely with homeowners, volunteers, contractors, municipalities, and Habitat staff. The coordinator doesnot perform construction work but plays a critical role in organizing projects from application throughcompletion. Essential Responsibilities Program Administration Manage homeowner applications and intake processes. Conduct initial eligibility reviews and verify required documentation. Maintain applicant files and program databases. Prepare homeowner agreements, memorandums of understanding, and project documentation. Track project status, reporting requirements, and program outcomes. Assist with grant reporting and documentation requirements. Project Planning & Coordination Schedule site visits and homeowner meetings. Assist in developing scopes of work for repair projects. Create project files, material lists, and work orders. Coordinate permits, inspections, and required approvals. Order materials and coordinate deliveries. Track project budgets and assist with invoice coding and payment processing. Monitor project timelines and maintain project schedules. Volunteer Coordination Recruit, schedule, and communicate with volunteers. Coordinate volunteer assignments for repair projects, Rock the Block, and special events. Prepare volunteer project packets and site information. Maintain volunteer records and participation data. Assist with volunteer recognition and retention efforts. Homeowner Services Serve as a primary point of contact for repair applicants. Communicate project timelines, expectations, and next steps. Coordinate homeowner participation requirements. Connect homeowners with community resources when appropriate. Conduct project follow-up and satisfaction surveys. Compliance & Reporting Maintain accurate program records. Assist with grant compliance and reporting requirements. Track program metrics and outcomes. Prepare reports for staff, committees, and the Board of Directors. Support continuous improvement efforts within the repair program. Additional Duties Serve as a backup Qualified Loan Originator (QLO) or assist with family services functions as appropriate. Assist with marketing and outreach efforts related to home preservation programs. Participate in training and technical assistance opportunities provided through Habitat for Humanity International. Perform other related duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Experience in project coordination, nonprofit administration, construction administration, volunteer management, social services, or related fields. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems. Experience working with volunteers and diverse populations. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff and community partners. Physical Requirements Ability to travel throughout Marathon County for site visits and meetings. Ability to access residential properties and construction sites safely. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally. Position Goal Increase Habitat for Humanity of Wausau's capacity to serve more homeowners through repairs, accessibility modifications, and neighborhood revitalization projects by improving program efficiency, homeowner experience, volunteer engagement, and project coordination.
