Summary of Job:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of project execution, including contract administration, budgeting, procurement, scheduling, subcontractor management, quality control, and jobsite safety. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent organizational, financial, and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage one or more commercial construction projects through all phases of the project lifecycle. Serve as the primary liaison between owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams. Review contract documents and oversee project buyout, subcontract negotiations, procurement, and purchasing activities. Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, cost controls, monthly billings, and financial reporting. Prepare, negotiate, and administer change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation. Collaborate with field leadership to develop and maintain project schedules, sequencing plans, and milestone tracking. Coordinate material procurement and ensure timely delivery of critical equipment and supplies. Lead project meetings, including owner, architect, subcontractor, and coordination meetings. Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, contract requirements, and applicable building codes. Oversee implementation of project QA/QC programs, inspections, punch lists, closeout documentation, warranties, and owner turnover. Promote and enforce company safety policies while ensuring compliance with all jobsite safety requirements. Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve project issues. Mentor, develop, and provide leadership to Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other project staff. Foster strong customer relationships while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction throughout the project.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of project management experience with a commercial general contractor or subcontractor. Proven experience managing commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Strong knowledge of contract administration, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and project controls. Experience with project management and scheduling software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and cost reporting. Excellent leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong client and subcontractor relationships. Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, customer service, and continuous improvement. Ability to lead multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented construction environment.
Pay:
$120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
