Full-time Job purpose Plan, manage and provide strategic oversight to construction projects from estimate to project completion, ensuring that projects are completed in a timely, efficient and profitable manner.
Manage risk and change and serve as a primary client liaison. Duties and responsibilities Read and understand project drawings and specifications to develop estimates for project bidding Submit project bids and attend bid openings Negotiate contracts with material suppliers and subcontractors to reach agreements that meet project requirements Own full project lifecycle: feasibility, preconstruction, procurement, construction, Commissioning, turnover and warranty Develop project schedules for construction projects Prepare for and attend construction progress meetings with project Owner and/or Engineer Create project submittals and manage submittal process to meet project requirements Report quantities for billing for pay applications and produce and manage change orders Lead and mentor project managers, engineers, and superintendents. Regularly meet with construction site superintendent (often on site) to review project progress and assist in planning future activities Ensuring quality, safety and compliance of jobsites Track daily field work in company tracking software and monitor project progress. Provide feedback to site superintendents and company management
Qualifications Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field 7-10 years of construction management experience with successful delivery of large, complex projects and overseeing multiple concurrent projects Working knowledge of MS Office Working knowledge of MS Project or similar scheduling software Excellent organizational and time-management skills Team player Self-motivated Not required, but will be an advantage: Experience with CAD software Experience with GPS/Survey equipment and software PMP and/or CCM preferred PE, RA or LEED AP a plus Working conditions Time will be spent in an office environment and on project sites. Some travel will be required, and the successful candidate must be familiar with general health and safety requirements as well as any site-specific safety requirements. Salary Range $130,000
