Manage the use of project control tools to report daily progress status, and compile information for project status reports to track and communicate progress of work for projects as assigned.
Project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking expenses, and minimizing risk on the project.
Ensure that construction activities move according to pre-determined scheduleManage subcontractors/suppliersThoroughly reviewing contract and specificationsReviewing and verifying accuracy of daily reports using Heavy JobLiaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce to resolve project challengesAssisting with monthly billing, cash flow projections, and change order processingSet up project documentation systems and cost controlsCommunicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project.
Preparing or reviewing various daily, weekly, and monthly project reportsWork closely with the project's Superintendent to schedule, manage resources, and evaluate the project budget.
Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings.
Oversees and mentors direct reporting from Project Engineers and Superintendents Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in Heavy/Civil Construction A college degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all project documents. (i.e. Construction drawings, specs, submittals, RFI's, contracts, etc.) Experience in HCSS is a plus Demonstrated ability to deliver a successful completed project Proficient in communication skills - written & oral Proficient in Microsoft Office/ Microsoft Projects Strong analysis and critical thinking skills Deadline and detail-oriented

Basic Description:
