EMAT Energy Management Project Performance Engine

Job Description

The Energy Management Project Performance Engineer (PPE) will perform integration activities of key program attributes for specific vehicles with responsibilities including but not limited to:

Work closely with EMAT Project Performance Lead to summarize Energy Management related parameters (Fuel Economy, EV Range, Performance, Capability) to share with the Program Team.

Support creation of and updates to the Energy Management ScorecardCommunicate technical status in oral presentations and written reports for all vehicle level performance, fuel economy, drivability, and electrical demand targetsCreate work requests for the science teams within Energy ManagementAnalyze fuel economy, acceleration performance, and capability using test data and simulation evaluationReview and approve data from each of the Energy Management science teamsWork with extended teams to develop tradeoff opportunities between VDE, PSE, and drivabilityWork with extended teams to develop risk mitigation plansValidate customer functional objectives related to Energy ManagementParticipation on validation trips to ensure Energy Management targets are achievedWork with Energy Management science teams to benchmark and future competitive vehicles
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university5+ years experience in product/propulsion system development
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience/understand how to derive ABC coast down coefficientsUnderstanding of VDE sensitivities and tradeoffsFuel economy and/or VDE simulation tool experienceExperience with Powertrain and Electrified Powertrain SystemsExperience in fuel economy testing and data analysisVehicle testing knowledge - chassis dyno, engine dyno, and an understanding of vehicle coast downExperience with futuring and competitive benchmarkingThe Energy Management Project Performance Engineer (PPE) will perform integration activities of key program attributes for specific vehicles with responsibilities including but not limited to:
