EPC Project Planner Utility-Scale Solar, BESS & High-Voltage Projects Location:

Full-Time, Site-Based with Rotations Position Summary We are seeking an experienced EPC Project Planner to support the execution of large-scale solar, battery storage, and high-voltage construction projects. This is a site-based role embedded with the Project Management and Construction teams. The Planner looks ahead across the project to identify constraints, coordinate resources, and help keep field execution moving efficiently. You will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Schedulers, Project Controls, Procurement, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure the right people, materials, equipment, permits, and work fronts are available when needed. What You'll Do Develop and maintain daily, weekly, 3-week, and 90-day project look-ahead plans. Monitor productivity, quantities, manpower, equipment, and project progress. Identify upcoming constraints and recommend alternate sequencing or execution plans. Coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical, testing, commissioning, and energization activities. Work with Procurement to align material deliveries and subcontractor mobilization with field needs. Forecast labor and equipment requirements and minimize downtime and resource inefficiencies. Monitor critical path activities and communicate project risks and opportunities. Support project forecasting using production, historical performance, and future execution plans. Partner with Schedulers and Project Controls to maintain schedule integrity and improve forecast accuracy. Track permitting, documentation, testing, and completion requirements that may impact progress. Help project leadership adjust the plan as conditions, weather, priorities, or resources change. What We're Looking For 10+ years of experience in EPC construction, project planning, scheduling, project controls, or project management. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, productivity, manpower, equipment, and resource planning. Advanced experience with Primavera P6. Experience with resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules. Ability to interpret critical path, schedule variance, productivity, and forecast data. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with both project leadership and field teams. Willingness to work full-time at an active construction site on a rotational schedule. Preferred Experience Utility-scale solar, BESS, substation, transmission, or other high-voltage project experience. Large EPC or mega-project experience. Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. PMP, AACE, or similar project controls certification. Experience with earned value, SPI, cost forecasting, or Power BI. What Success Looks Like You are constantly looking ahead, identifying what could slow the project down, and helping the team solve it before it becomes a field issue.
