Job Description

Project Manager - Capital Projects Overview We're seeking an organized, driven Project Manager to lead large-scale capital and infrastructure projects from inception through closeout. You'll manage complex construction work, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and deliver high-impact projects on time and on budget. Strong backgrounds in construction management, scheduling, and cost control succeed here. This position requires travel and time away from home. Responsibilities Conduct site visits to prospective properties, assess building condition, and help define project scope with company representatives. Review and interpret architectural plans and drawings to determine scope of work. Prepare detailed construction budgets and schedules covering design, purchasing, and construction sequences. Lead the construction permitting process. Coordinate construction with project superintendents, DI Supply, architects, and contractors to meet budget and schedule commitments.
Act as general contractor:
source, interview, and recommend qualified subcontractors; solicit and evaluate bids; award contracts based on lowest total cost or best qualifications. Maintain project controls through execution and lead project closeout. Capture lessons learned for post-project review. Required Skills Leading and coordinating teams, subcontractors, and outside partners Managing personnel, material resources, and competing schedules Critical thinking and complex problem-solving, with early identification of issues Negotiation, persuasion, and clear written and verbal communication Quality control inspection, monitoring, and troubleshooting Strong reading comprehension of technical documents and solid numerical/budgeting skills Required Education and Experience Degree in Construction Management or a related field with coursework in project management; or Minimum 5 years of practical hotel or commercial construction management experience. Key Personal Characteristics Dependable and detail-oriented, with high integrity and sound judgment. Works well independently and under pressure, adapts to change, takes initiative, and persists through obstacles. Collaborative and perceptive with others, and willing to lead and offer direction.
