Flooring Design & Project Manager South One Supply Erie, PA Job Details Full-time $65,000 - $70,000 a year 3 hours ago Benefits 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Vendor relationship building Customer communication Teamwork Attention to detail Problem-solving Organizational skills Time management Full Job Description Position Summary This role serves as both a product specialist and technical advisor, working closely with homeowners, designers, project managers, suppliers, and installers to ensure every flooring selection is functional, durable, properly specified, and installed to the highest industry standards. Looking for a highly motivated, energetic individual who takes pride in their work, holds themselves to high standards, and consistently strives for excellence self-motivated person that is looking to make an impact Responsibilities Provide expert consultation on all flooring products, including hardwood, engineered wood, luxury vinyl, laminate, tile, carpet, and specialty flooring systems. Assist contractors, homeowners and design team with flooring selections that align with style, performance, durability, and budget requirements. Evaluate job site conditions and recommend appropriate flooring systems and installation methods. Work closely with Contractors, Project Managers and Designers to ensure flooring selections are properly integrated into overall project designs and budgets. Prepare flooring specifications, product schedules, and installation requirements for estimating and ordering. Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials, confirm availability, pricing, and lead times. Review installation requirements and ensure all products are properly specified for field conditions. Provide technical support to installers regarding proper installation methods, transitions, subfloor preparation, and moisture control. Inspect flooring installations as needed to ensure quality standards and proper workmanship. Identify and resolve flooring-related issues in the field, including subfloor concerns, product defects, or installation challenges. Stay current on industry trends, new products, installation systems, and manufacturer guidelines. Maintain strong relationships with vendors, distributors, and manufacturers. Customer Service Serve as a trusted flooring expert for homeowners throughout the selection and installation process. Clearly explain flooring options, performance differences, maintenance requirements, and cost considerations. Guide clients toward informed decisions that balance aesthetics, durability, and budget. Ensure every homeowner receives confidence in their flooring selections and finished installation. Collaboration & Coordination Work closely with Designers, Project Managers, and contractors to ensure accurate flooring specifications, pricing and installers. Collaborate with field crews to ensure correct installation methods and sequencing. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and accurate product fulfillment. Participate in preconstruction meetings to review flooring selections and installation requirements. Provide estimating and budgeting to ensure accurate flooring allowances and costs. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain detailed flooring specifications, product data, and installation notes for each project. Document product selections, changes, and substitutions throughout the project lifecycle. Utilize company software to track selections, specifications, and project updates. Support accurate ordering and procurement of flooring materials. work with suppliers for product displays for showroom.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
