Position Overview The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing electrical construction projects from pre-construction through project closeout. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in managing commercial, industrial, or institutional electrical construction projects. Key Responsibilities Assist in managing all phases of electrical construction projects including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and documentation. Support the preparation and review of project proposals, contracts, and change orders. Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure timely and quality execution. Help maintain up-to-date project documentation including RFIs, submittals, material tracking logs, and meeting minutes. Assist in identifying and resolving project issues, including technical challenges and scheduling conflicts. Monitor job costs and help prepare project billings and forecasts. Participate in on-site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Collaborate with engineers, estimators, and administrative staff as needed. Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in the electrical or construction industry preferred. Familiarity with electrical systems, blueprints, and construction documents. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD) is a plus. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to multitask while staying organized. Outstanding problem solving and critical thinking skills. Strong verbal and written communications skills Positive customer service skills Working Conditions Office and field-based work environment. May require occasional evening or weekend work depending on project needs. Must be able to visit active construction sites and comply with all safety requirements.
