Summary We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in overseeing project execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and driving successful outcomes for our clients.
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the VP responsible for the management of the entire project under their control. Serves as a liaison between clients, vendors, and corporate management team, to ensure profitable and effective contract management. This is a highly visible and critical role requiring a person who will bring initiative, ownership of responsibilities, and pride to create an effective team culture.
MUST HAVE 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN ROADWAY/DOT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a field operations and administrative job. Managing crews and personnel performing heavy highway and toll facilities maintenance. Responsible for the oversight of facilities, equipment, employees, and overall project. Serves as liaison between client and vendors in relation to service issues and contract management. Direct supervision, development, training, and management of approximately 25 exempt and/or non-exempt employees. Manage sub-contractors and their workforce if applicable. Develop and be accountable for performance metrics (on monthly and quarterly basis) which are shared appropriately with corporate and customers. Maintains & manages expenses to improve profitability and efficiency. Identify and resolve facility, employee, and customer relations issues; seek direction from corporate staff as needed. Continually updates corporate staff regarding any maintenance, employee, or facility issues. Ensures compliance with client and government regulations by performing necessary inspections and reporting. Ensures compliance with safety and environmental programs and follows all State, Local, Federal OSHA regulations. Communicates legibly, comprehensively, and accurately both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers. Project a positive customer-oriented attitude always. Promotes a culture of safety to reduce and/or eliminate accidents and injuries. Ensures all employees are fully trained in all aspects of their position. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
3-5 years of proven leadership experience in project and operations management. Strong interpersonal and teambuilding skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize competing agendas. Ability to develop and execute prudent and appropriate business decisions. Ability to think independently and take ownership for positive or negative results of independent decisions. Understanding of business finance; knowledge of profit and loss reporting & management preferred. Proficient in knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or other programs and applications as needed. Clean Motor Vehicle Report (reviewed monthly). Must be able to pass criminal background check and random drug screening. Conscientious, detail-oriented, and willing to improve processes. Ability to work in all weather conditions. Ability to respond to all kinds of incidents 24/7. Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and additional hours as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds .
