HOA / Community Manager - Condo Approval ProcessorAbout Us FHA Review is a small but specialized condominium approval firm based in Downtown Huntington Beach. For more than 16 years, we have helped condominium associations obtain and maintain FHA, VA, and conventional financing eligibility. We are a small, experienced team that works with condominium associations, management companies, lenders, and real estate professionals nationwide. Our office environment is professional, casual, collaborative, and fast-paced. About the Role We are looking for someone with HOA, community association, or condominium property management experience to join our team as a Condo Approval Processor. This is an excellent transition for a Community Manager, Assistant Community Manager, Portfolio Manager, or HOA professional who knows how associations operate and is comfortable working with budgets, financial statements, reserve studies, insurance, governing documents, maintenance issues, and board matters. Mortgage industry experience is not required. We can train the right candidate on FHA, VA, and Fannie Mae condominium financing requirements. Ultimately this will be a hybrid position requiring in-office attendance at our Huntington Beach office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, with a minimum of four office hours per onsite day. The remainder of the week may be worked remotely as you learn and become able. Starting pay is approximately $20 per hour, plus commission for each completed file. Commission potential can become significant as experience and production increase. What You'll Do Review HOA budgets, financial statements, reserve studies, insurance policies, CC&Rs, bylaws, amendments, meeting minutes, questionnaires, and other project documents Review condominium projects for FHA, VA, and conventional financing eligibility Identify missing documentation, inconsistencies, and potential approval issues Analyze items such as reserve funding, delinquencies, special assessments, litigation, insurance, deferred maintenance, structural repairs, leasing, and commercial space Communicate with community managers, board members, insurance agents, attorneys, reserve analysts, lenders, and clients to obtain information and resolve outstanding issues Prepare and organize FHA and VA approval and recertification packages Assist with Fannie Mae condominium project eligibility reviews Maintain detailed project notes and track files from initial document collection through completion Manage multiple projects while meeting turnaround expectations Qualifications 3+ years of HOA, condominium, community association management, or closely related experience preferred Working knowledge of HOA financials, reserves, insurance, governing documents, assessments, maintenance, and association operations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Comfortable reviewing large amounts of documentation Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Ability to work independently after training Ability to commute to Huntington Beach for required in-office days Preferred, But Not Required CMCA, AMS, PCAM, or other community association credentials Experience completing lender questionnaires or responding to lender document requests Experience with major HOA repairs, special assessments, litigation, or insurance claims Familiarity with SB 326 inspections FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, mortgage underwriting, or condominium project review experience Compensation & Benefits Approximately $20/hour starting pay Commission for completed files Hybrid work schedule Main Street Parking Structure parking pass Training in FHA, VA, and conventional condominium project approvals Application Questions How many years of HOA or community association management experience do you have? Have you completed lender questionnaires or worked with lenders on condominium documentation? Do you hold a CMCA, AMS, PCAM, or other community association credential? Are you able to work in our Huntington Beach office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays?
