About The Little Guild The mission of The Little Guild is to strengthen the loving bonds between people and pets in communities by rescuing and nurturing homeless dogs and cats for adoption into safe, caring homes. We're looking for a people person and animal lover to join our team at our new facility in West Cornwall. Position Overview The Community Program Manager oversees the programs that connect our organization with the people and pets who need us most: Volunteers, the Pet Pantry, Vaccine and Health Clinics, Animal Welfare Education, the Lasey Fund for veterinary financial assistance, the Spay and Neuter Voucher Program, and Care and Compassion for the Elderly. This is a hands-on, front-facing role for a highly organized individual with a genuine passion for animal welfare advocacy. Beyond program oversight, the role includes greeting visitors at the front desk and occasional supervision of staff.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Coordinate and support volunteers across all community programs Coordinate and oversee volunteer orientations for new volunteers Manage day-to-day operations of the Pet Pantry, ensuring pet food and supplies reach families in need Organize and help run Vaccine and Health Clinics, including scheduling and community outreach Conduct outreach to local schools and civic organizations for Animal Welfare Education programming Administer the Lasey Fund, connecting pet owners with veterinary financial assistance Administer the Spay and Neuter Voucher Program, helping community members access affordable spay/neuter services Oversee scheduling of the Care and Compassion for the Elderly program, coordinating pet visits to local senior centers Greet visitors and callers at the front desk with warmth and professionalism Provide occasional oversight of staff and support at events Reports to: Executive Director, in coordination with the Shelter Manager Qualifications Genuine love of animals and passion for animal welfare advocacy Strong people skills — comfortable with the public, volunteers, and community partners of all ages Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple programs and priorities at once Comfortable with front desk/reception duties and occasional light staff supervision Flexible availability Prior experience in nonprofit, animal welfare, customer service, or community program work is a plus Equal Opportunity The Little Guild is an equal opportunity employer.
