In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire leasing process, manage a talented team, and foster strong relationships with prospective tenants and property owners. Your expertise in property management tools, legal regulations, and customer service will drive occupancy rates and ensure compliance with fair housing laws. Responsibilities Lead and manage the leasing team to achieve occupancy goals through effective training, motivation, and performance management. Develop and implement comprehensive leasing strategies utilizing property management software and industry tools. Oversee lease or rental agreement management, ensuring accuracy, compliance with legal standards including landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations. Build strong relationships with prospective tenants through exceptional customer service, negotiation skills, and proactive client communication. Conduct property tours, upselling available units while highlighting features that meet tenant needs. Manage lease administration processes including data entry, filing, contract review, and renewal procedures. Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure facilities are well-maintained and meet safety standards. Monitor budgets related to leasing activities and optimize operational efficiency. Stay current on industry trends, legal updates, and property management best practices to ensure compliance and innovation in leasing operations. Skills Extensive knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams within a property management or real estate environment. Excellent customer service abilities combined with effective conflict management techniques. Skilled in negotiation, upselling rental units while maintaining positive client relationships. Office experience including data entry, filing systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and customer relationship management tools. Ability to handle property leasing processes from initial inquiry through lease signing efficiently. Familiarity with property maintenance coordination and facilities management principles. Effective phone etiquette for client communication and problem resolution.
