Are you an experienced Property Manager who loves to get things done? We are looking for a strong, experienced Property Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of a 120+ unit affordable housing property in New Castle, IN. You will oversee site operations for a beautiful property with both project-based Section 8, Section 236, and LIHTC affordable housing programs. You can make a difference at this property.

Oversee the daily operations and management of an apartment complex
Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and maintenance requests in a timely manner
Conduct property tours and show available units to potential tenants
Screen and select qualified tenants by reviewing applications, conducting background checks, and verifying references as well as income & assets
Prepare and execute lease agreements, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations
Collect rent payments and manage delinquencies, initiating eviction proceedings when necessary
Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, working with vendors and contractors as needed
Maintain accurate records of property expenses, income, and tenant information
Enforce property rules and regulations to ensure a safe and pleasant living environment for all residents Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management or a related field
Strong administrative skills with proficiency in data entry and file management
Ability to explain lease terms and rental agreements with prospective tenants
Familiarity with legal administrative tasks related to property management, including understanding of housing regulations
Understanding of landlord-tenant law and fair housing practices
Experience working with property management software such as OneSite is preferred To excel in this role, you should have strong administrative skills, knowledge of property management processes, strong communication skills as well as supervisory skills.
