Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Temple Manager to oversee the daily operations and overall maintenance of a vibrant spiritual center. This role is essential in ensuring that the temple functions smoothly, providing a welcoming environment for visitors, managing staff, coordinating events, and maintaining the sacred space with utmost care. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and a passion for community service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team while fostering a harmonious and respectful atmosphere within the temple. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the temple, including scheduling, maintenance, and staff supervision Coordinate and plan community events, religious ceremonies, and special gatherings with attention to detail and logistical precision Manage household staff including cleaning personnel, cooks, childcare providers, and administrative assistants Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the temple premises through residential cleaning and housekeeping management Handle administrative tasks such as schedule management, record keeping, and confidential information handling with discretion Facilitate property management duties including repairs, security protocols, and vendor coordination Provide personal assistance to senior members or leadership by managing appointments, errands, and travel arrangements Supervise household management activities such as laundry, cooking, childcare, and household staff supervision Drive responsibilities related to transportation needs for temple events or personal errands as required Maintain excellent customer service standards by welcoming visitors warmly and addressing their needs promptly Skills Proven experience in event planning and coordinating large or small gatherings effectively Strong background in residential cleaning, housekeeping management, or hospitality environments such as hotels or private residences Prior personal assistant experience with excellent schedule management skills Competency in driving safely and managing transportation logistics Experience in childcare and household management to ensure smooth daily operations Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to supervise household staff confidently Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with property management practices including maintenance scheduling and vendor relations Customer service expertise to foster a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and community members
Employment:
Shall comply with all SSVT policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, both written and oral, as are announced by SSVT from time to time. It is also understood and agreed to by the Employee that his assignment, duties, responsibilities, and reporting arrangements may be changed by SSVT in its sole discretion Is expected to work a minimum 40 hours per week over six days per week and be available during all other times when the temple is open [9 AM - 1PM & 5 to 9 PM on weekdays and 9 am to 9 PM on weekends & special religious days). Salary will be commensurate with similar opportunities in other temples in this area. Housing with in the temple premises, Health Care & Life Insurance will be provided Reasonable relocation assistance will be provided. This will be discussed at the time of the interview More details of the manager's responsibility will be provided at the time of the interview or once selected before assuming the duty.
