Job Description

Kennebec Behavioral Health (KBH) is seeking an experienced behavioral health clinician to lead our Crisis Residential Unit (CRU) in Waterville, Maine. We're looking for a collaborative leader who is passionate about clinical excellence, mentoring staff, and ensuring individuals experiencing behavioral health crises receive compassionate, evidenced-based care in the least restrictive environment possible. As the Clinical Program Manager, you'll provide clinical, operations, and administrative leadership for our Crisis Residential Unit, ensuring safe, high-quality, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented services. Lead and support a multidisciplinary team providing 24/7 crisis residential services. Provider clinical consultation and supervision for complex and high -risk situations. Foster a culture of collaborative and compassionate care. Support compliance with MaineCare, Licensing, CARF and other regulatory standards Monitor documentation, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical outcomes Partner with hospitals, emergency departments, mobile crisis teams, law enforcement, and community providers to ensure timely access to care and smooth transitions. Support program development and continuous improvement as crisis services evolve. This position offers the opportunity to: Make a meaningful impact during some of the most critical moments in a person's recovery. Help shape an innovate Crisis Residential Unit Mentor and develop an exceptional interdisciplinary team Collaborate with leaders across KBH and other behavioral health organizations Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or another behavioral health discipline. Full or conditional LCSW, LMSW or LCPC license Experience working in crisis services, inpatient behavioral health, emergency psychiatric services, or a closely related setting.
