Position Summary The Property Manager is responsible for the overall operational, financial, and customer service performance of an apartment community. This role leads daily property operations, ensures compliance with company standards, manages budgets and financial performance, fosters positive resident relationships, and partners with ownership and company leadership to achieve community goals. Depending on experience, assigned property size, and organizational needs, responsibilities may vary and provide opportunities for growth into more advanced property management roles. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of an apartment community, ensuring a high standard of resident service and property performance. Develop, monitor, and execute annual operating budgets while maintaining accountability for financial results. Review and analyze financial reports, identify trends, and implement strategies to improve property performance. Manage delinquency, collections, and eviction processes in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Coordinate and oversee facility maintenance, capital projects, vendor relationships, and overall asset preservation initiatives. Lead resident relations efforts, resolve escalated concerns, and create positive resident experiences through engagement programs and community events. Conduct property audits, implement corrective action plans, and ensure compliance with operational standards and company expectations. Communicate regularly with property ownership, company leadership, residents, vendors, and internal teams regarding property performance and operational initiatives. Provide support, training, mentorship, or leadership to team members as experience and position level evolve. Participate in strategic projects, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional partnerships that support organizational growth and operational excellence.
Requirements:
Qualifications Experience in property management, multifamily housing, hospitality, customer service, business operations, or a related field preferred. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills. Ability to analyze financial information and make informed business decisions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required depending on assignment.
