The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management, including leasing, tenant relations, and compliance with federal and state housing regulations. As a Property Manager, you will ensure the efficient management of property portfolios, uphold high standards of customer service, and maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements and Fair Housing laws. Duties Manage the leasing process, including lease or rental agreement management, tenant screening, and move-in/move-out procedures to maximize occupancy rates. Oversee property maintenance and facilities management to ensure properties are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with health and safety standards. Utilize property management tools such as Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS to track rent payments, maintenance requests, and occupancy data efficiently. Maintain strong client communication by addressing tenant inquiries promptly and resolving conflicts through effective conflict management strategies. Administer budgets for properties, including rent collection, expense tracking, and financial reporting to ensure fiscal responsibility. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations such as Landlord-Tenant Law, Fair Housing Act, LIHTC guidelines, and Section 8 program requirements. Lead a team of staff members by providing supervision, training, and performance evaluations to foster a collaborative work environment. Coordinate with property management companies and contractors for repairs or upgrades while maintaining quality standards. Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs or violations of lease agreements or legal standards. Engage in upselling opportunities by promoting additional services or amenities that enhance tenant satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience in property management within affordable housing settings; property management company experience is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of Yardi, OneSite, Microsoft Office Suite, and other property management tools such as FMS or CMMS systems. Legal administrative experience related to landlord-tenant law, contracts, lease management, and Fair Housing regulations. Familiarity with LIHTC programs and Section 8 housing voucher administration. Demonstrated ability in team management with excellent leadership skills and conflict resolution capabilities. Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills for client interaction and negotiation. Experience in real estate administrative functions such as data entry, filing, budgeting, and facilities management. Knowledge of property maintenance procedures along with office experience handling customer relationships effectively.
