Our days are rarely boring, and it is incredibly rewarding to watch young people build confidence, develop skills, and achieve meaningful goals. Kolob Canyon is a residential treatment center for teenage girls ages 14-17, located on a horse ranch in Southern Utah. As a small program with 12-16 students, we are able to create a close-knit community where staff have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and make a real impact in each student's life. Staff are often involved in the daily experiences that make Kolob unique. Mentors may participate in activities such as hiking, camping trips, exploring the natural beauty of Southern Utah, hosting movie nights, helping with barn responsibilities, and sharing home-cooked meals together as a community. The primary responsibility of this role is to build professional, supportive relationships with students that encourage positive life choices within a structured residential setting. Our mentors support students through challenges, celebrate their successes, and acknowledge their growth along the way. The staff who thrive in this role are individuals who can balance compassion with clear boundaries, remain calm and solution-focused during difficult moments, and work collaboratively with their team. We look for people who are dependable, socially aware, eager to learn, and humble enough to treat others with respect while continuing to grow themselves. Join us in making a meaningful difference. At Kolob Canyon, we are committed to creating an environment where every young person feels valued, supported, and capable of building a healthy future.
