Non-Exempt Essential Functions:

The Assistant Director of Public Safety is responsible for creating and enforcing administrative and operational guidelines for the entire Department. To ensure that the Department is in compliance with the policies and procedures of the Ocean Club Community Association (OCCA). To maintain a comfortable and stable working environment and promote good teamwork.

Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to: Management of the Department Assume responsibility for the Department Perform all essential job functions of reporting departmental staff Assist in directing and supervising personnel to assure proper performance of duties and adherence to established rules, regulations, policies, and procedures Monitors, all assignments and duties to ensure appropriate coverage of departmental operational functions and activities on assigned shifts; Investigate Residents and Public Safety personnel complaints as required; Investigate and review each incident report and organize corresponding data relating to; Become familiar with all of The Ocean Club's rules and regulations, and Florida State Statutes that The Ocean Club and its residents must adhere to. Assist the Operations and Training Manager with developing, implementing, and coordinating all training and staff development activities;

Requirements:

High level of accountability and integrity; At least two years of full-time experience as a supervisor; Proficient in computers and Security Systems (Millennium and ABDI)

Education:

High school or equivalent education (required) Bachelor's Degree (preferred but not required) Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus

License/Certification:
