Bilingual Early Childhood Education Program Assessor Pay:
$30 to $33 an hour
Location/Travel:
Must live in Illinois (Requires 25-45% statewide travel, including overnight stays) At the Vander Weele Group, we are a leading provider of grant monitoring and federal oversight solutions. We leverage deep domain expertise to streamline compliance management processes, mitigate risks, and enhance transparency across critical nationwide programs. We are seeking an Early Childhood Education Program Assessor to evaluate grantee compliance, programmatic quality, and alignment with federal, state, and local regulations through site visits and documentation reviews. What Success Looks Like Success in this role means managing a high-quality assessment process that delivers clear, objective, and defensible evaluations.
You will:
Apply an
Analytical & Objective Lens:
Evaluate real-world field conditions against complex administrative codes to produce accurate, well-written, and fair compliance reports backed by concrete documentation.
Manage Flawless Field & Remote Reviews:
Assess grantees against state standards using research-based tools (e.g., ITERS, FCCERS, HOVRS) and conduct effective virtual preparation meetings. Maintain 100%
Data & Compliance Integrity:
Rigorously analyze program documentation and ensure strict adherence to handling Personally Identifiable Information (PII) across cloud systems.
Drive Continuous Improvement & Efficiency:
Deliver positive, timely monitoring experiences that reflect well on the organization while participating in inter-rater reliability exercises and report reviews. You'll Own Leading virtual prep meetings to guide grantees through monitoring processes, document requirements, and instructions. Conducting on-site observational assessments and reviewing program data against state frameworks and administrative code. Preparing and finalizing accurate, well-written reports summarizing compliance and quality review findings. Collaborating with team members during report reviews, attending required professional development/certification seminars, and contributing to ongoing process improvements.
Requirements:
You'll Thrive Here If You possess bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English. You hold a Bachelor's degree in early childhood development, early childhood education, or a closely related field (Master's degree strongly preferred). You have at least 2 years of supervisory or administrative experience in early childhood education programs or initiatives. You have a deep understanding of state/federal ECE frameworks (e.g., Birth to Five Program Standards, ECBG, IELG, QRIS). You possess exceptional, academic-level writing and proofreading skills. You demonstrate a growth mindset, handle constructive feedback with composure, and collaborate effectively under strict deadlines.
