Community Based Activity Therapists Job Overview Job Overview The Director of Community Based Services will undertake a variety of administrative and program management tasks with the NJ ECC. The Director of Community Based Services will ensure all community-based services, supportive employement and housing are running effectively and efficiently. This Director should have knowledge of service practices as defined in the Supports Program Manual and the Community Care Program. In this role, your schedule needs to be flexible to deal with the day-to-day occurrences and the call outs that could come from your team members. The Director of Community Based Services, while employed or thereafter, must comply with any and all investigations involving DDD, OOL, DHS, and/or APS. Responsibilities and Duties Ensure proper implementation of policies and practices, including attendance and write ups Assure all staff complete unit training and read all ISPs and Behavioral Plans Assure all clients are seen, staffed and covered Assure to communicate with individual should staff be out and find coverage for your staff or cover yourself Help build positive relationships with the Community Based and Supportive Employment (SE) staff, the support coordinators, and the families. Attend all meetings involving CBS/CIS, SE and housing. Communicate with the Director of Intake and Services in regard to community-based client caseload Staff cases to individuals - try to find best match for client Assist with housing homeless CBS clients Create monthly outing calendars in a timely manner for community inclusion Create new ideas and do pop ins to assure staff are completing outings correctly Overseeing respite scheduling, overall set-up, communication with client families, etc. Makes preparations prior to the start of services (community-based, aftercare, community inclusion, respite, etc.). Assure staff have activities and places to go Act as the main liaison between clients' families and the program Keep updated records, create reports, and prepare paperwork for all community-based services Run reports to assure no units of billing are missed Oversee all Community Based Activity Therapists and complete staff evaluations. Hold staff meetings Work closely with the HR department for the hiring process of all new Community Based Activity Therapists and conduct a second interview Assist with intern supervision Make QA calls to assure to get individual/guardian feedback - liaison Ensure all technology for Therap is being used properly Ensure staff have their data in within 24 hours of seeing their client or they are to be written up, fired, and/or suspended Works closely with the Billing Manager and the Billing Specialist to ensure all necessary paperwork is being completed correctly Implement write ups, suspensions, and terminations Complete any other tasks your supervisor may ask of you
