Pay:
$23
  • 25/hr. , depending on experience Job purpose To purchase stocking inventory for HVAC products for all companies and divisions and to maintain proper inventory levels and product mix to support the sales effort of the organization. Responsible for managing $10
  • 20 Million average inventory investment across multiple companies and branches.
Duties and responsibilities Purchase stocking products from various vendors and manufacturers for all companies and/or branches. Maintain system ordering controls to insure proper inventory levels. Communicate with branch managers and sales manager to maintain proper product mix at all locations. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, cash discounts, and where applicable to negotiate incentive rebates with vendors. Replenish/remix stock between companies and branches as necessary in order to maintain proper stock levels and product mix. Visit branches periodically to discuss any inventory/purchasing issues. Formulate solutions for eliminating overstock/obsolescence on various product lines. Make sound decisions for company's best interests. Other duties as assigned. Requirements:
Education/Experience/Skills High School Diploma required. Associates degree in Business Administration or Finance preferred but not required. 1 year or more of progressive sales or purchasing experience HVAC industry experience preferred but not required 2 years experience in Microsoft 365 Behavioral Competencies Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to work independently and as a team member Working conditions Normal office environment. Work schedule is Monday
  • Friday from 8 a.m.
  • 5 p.m. There may be some flexibility in the department for these hours to shift to start earlier or later depending on business needs. Full-time, 40 hours per week required. Occasional Travel Requirement
  • Up to 10% travel to branches, conferences and other operating companies requiring some overnight stay.
Physical requirements This job is performed in an office environment with long periods of sitting, working on the computer, answering phones, operating office equipment such as copiers, fax, etc. Standing and walking around are also performed on a regular basis. Filing is required where stooping, kneeling may be involved.
