instrumart.com The Purchasing Associate is a member of the Purchasing Team. This position's primary duties include entering and tracking the status of Purchase Orders (POs) placed with vendors. The Purchasing Department works hand in hand with Vendors, Instrumart's Order Management Team, and Engineering to provide our customers with the most accurate information possible about their orders.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

Create, review, approve, and send Purchase Orders to vendors Monitor all orders placed with vendors and update the status according to the information provided Contact vendors (by phone or email) whenever necessary to expedite, cancel, check status, or amend a PO Use UPS, FedEx, LTL information, and the shipping tool to update the delivery status Create Item Fulfillments for Drop Ship POs and Sales Orders Collaborate with Order Management team members and Engineering to resolve any issues, such as delays that impact our customers' satisfaction Working closely with the Shipping Department to ensure all packages/items are received, and monitoring missing/lost items Assist the Accounting Department in resolving invoice issues such as price discrepancies, incorrect quantities, and miscellaneous fees Preferred Stock Level Management (PSL) - Managing select inventory levels to ensure proper stock levels are in place to allow for daily business
