We are looking for a Medical Assistant to support patient access and coordination for a contract opportunity in San Luis Obispo, California. This role focuses on arranging appointments, confirming essential patient information, and delivering courteous assistance over the phone. Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate patient appointments for medical imaging and related services, ensuring calendars are updated accurately and efficiently.
  • Reach out to patients by phone to arrange visits, confirm availability, and provide clear instructions before scheduled appointments.
  • Enter and maintain patient demographic details in the appropriate systems with a high level of accuracy.
  • Assist patients with scheduling questions, rescheduling requests, and general appointment support in a thorough and attentive manner.
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls using strong phone communication skills and a service-focused approach.
  • Review scheduling information for completeness and address discrepancies to help avoid delays in patient care.
  • Support daily administrative tasks related to appointment management, documentation, and data entry.
  • Work closely with internal staff to help maintain smooth scheduling operations across the department.
