Your Home Groomer is a growing mobile dog grooming and pet care company looking for a reliable, organized, and animal-loving person to join our team in a unique support role. This is a part-time position with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as our company continues to expand. We are looking for someone who is interested in growing with the company and becoming an important part of our day-to-day operations. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working hands-on with dogs but also likes staying organized, communicating with clients, and helping keep the day-to-day operations of a small business running smoothly. Our boarding setup is intentionally small, so this is not a traditional high-volume kennel position. You'll help care for a small number of boarding dogs while also supporting our grooming operations, client communication, and scheduling. As our company continues to grow, this position and its responsibilities have the opportunity to grow and evolve as well. Morning pet-care responsibilities are generally completed first and may vary depending on the number of boarding dogs. Because our boarding setup is intentionally small, the remainder of the day may include client communication, scheduling support, exit baths, mobile bath appointments, grooming assistance, or full grooming for a qualified candidate.
Responsibilities may include:
Caring for boarding dogs, including feeding, letting dogs out, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment Answering and returning client phone calls and messages Helping schedule and organize grooming appointments across multiple mobile grooming routes Keeping track of scheduling changes, client requests, and follow-ups Assisting with general day-to-day organization and administrative tasks Bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, and de-shedding dogs Driving one of our mobile grooming vans to complete bath and de-shedding appointments Helping keep the kennel, grooming areas, and equipment clean and organized Supporting the owner and grooming team wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly We are looking for someone who: Is dependable, organized, and comfortable managing multiple balanced responsibilities Communicates clearly and professionally with clients and team members Is confident and comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments, with an understanding of canine body language and behavior Has professional dog-bathing experience and is able to independently bathe, dry, brush, de-shed, and safely trim and grind nails Full dog-grooming experience is strongly preferred but not required Is comfortable learning scheduling software and handling client communication Has a valid driver's license and is comfortable driving a mobile grooming van Can work independently and take initiative without needing constant direction Wants to grow with a company that is continuing to expand This is a hands-on position where no two days are exactly the same. We are a small but growing team and value communication, clarity, teamwork, continuing education, and providing excellent care for both our clients and their dogs. As the company expands, responsibilities and opportunities within the role may continue to evolve. We are looking for someone who is excited to grow alongside us and become an important part of our operation, with the potential for the position to transition into a full-time role in the future. Schedule This position will begin part-time during training, with the potential to grow into a consistent four- or five-day schedule based on business needs, performance, and mutual fit. Morning shifts may begin around 7:00-7:30 a.m., depending on the number of boarding dogs. Saturday availability is required. Candidates must also have some weekday availability.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Application Question(s): How many years of professional experience do you have working with dogs in a grooming, bathing, kennel, daycare, veterinary, or similar setting? Are you comfortable driving a mobile grooming van and independently completing bath, de-shedding, nail trimming, and drying appointments? This role combines hands-on dog care with client communication, scheduling, and organization. Tell us about your experience in these areas and why you feel you would be a good fit for this type of position.
