This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in keeping things organized, and can be counted on to show up consistently and keep things moving. The Coordinator is responsible for market setup and breakdown, vendor support, parking and traffic flow, guest experience, and basic administrative tasks. Weekend availability and reliable attendance are essential for this position. Our vendors, guests, and team depend on the Farmers Market Coordinator to be present, prepared, and ready to manage the market from setup through breakdown. What You'll Do Market Operations Coordinate on-site operations for both Saturday and Sunday farmers markets Set up and break down market signage, cones, equipment, and other materials Help ensure vendors are in the correct locations and ready before the market opens Manage smooth and orderly vendor load-in and load-out Follow established market procedures and checklists Vendor & Guest Support Serve as the main on-site point of contact for vendors during market hours Communicate clearly and professionally with vendors, guests, volunteers, and staff Greet guests and provide information about the market and park Help create a welcoming, organized, and community-focused atmosphere Address routine issues as they arise and know when to involve management Parking & Flow Management Oversee vendor and guest parking Help manage vehicle and pedestrian flow for safety and efficiency Communicate parking expectations clearly and respectfully Cash Handling & Admin Assist with cash handling, reconciliation, and daily market logs Maintain accurate records and complete required paperwork Support vendor communication and other basic administrative tasks Use Google Workspace or similar tools for scheduling, communication, and recordkeeping Site Oversight Monitor the market for cleanliness, safety, and overall organization Coordinate with the Operations team regarding trash, restrooms, equipment, and site needs Support volunteers and provide clear direction as needed Help identify and communicate issues before they become larger problems We're looking for someone who is: Dependable and punctual — consistent weekend attendance is a key part of this role Experience in farmers markets, events, operations, retail, hospitality, or customer service is helpful but not required. Comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities and following through Organized and attentive to details Friendly, professional, and confident communicating with a wide range of people Able to stay calm and solve problems in a busy, changing environment Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a team Willing to follow established systems, checklists, and procedures Comfortable using Google Workspace or similar computer tools Physical Requirements This is an active, outdoor position.
