Job Description

Position Description:
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for the effective and efficient flow of information through the Service Center office. The Operations Coordinator's focus is on accurate and timely communication with the Service Center floor and the Sales groups.
Primary Responsibilities:
Answer and follow up on phone inquiries in a business oriented manner Greet visitors, drivers, and customers in a professional manner Research and generate necessary paperwork for Service Center management Create and coordinate outbound and inbound paperwork for effective material movement Ensure inventory accuracy by reviewing documents from the floor are completed Maintain a clean and well organized office area Attend all scheduled safety, department, and company meetings as required
Physical & Work Requirements:
Office environment with occasional warehouse or yard exposure
Required Background, Competencies & Expertise:
Understanding of State Steel policies and procedures preferred Detail-oriented and excellent observational skills Communication Customer orientation Problem solving Composure Teamwork Strong computer, tablet, scanner, or mobile device skills High School diploma or G.E.D.
