ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client is an established manufacturing company experiencing continued growth and looking to add a Materials Support Specialist to its operations team. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys staying organized, working with numbers, and being involved in the day-to-day activity of a manufacturing environment. The position provides exposure to materials, production, shipping, purchasing, and operations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Materials Support Specialist will help make sure the right materials and information are available to keep production moving. You'll spend most of your day working in an office environment, while also communicating with employees throughout the manufacturing floor. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable asking questions, following up, catching discrepancies, and keeping multiple priorities organized. No extensive manufacturing background is required. This role is designed for someone who is eager to learn and interested in building a career in operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Enter and update inventory, material, and production information. Compare inventory records against physical materials and investigate discrepancies. Prepare and review production documentation. Communicate material requirements to the appropriate departments. Track incoming materials and follow up on outstanding items. Assist with coordinating materials between storage and production areas. Communicate changes in production needs and priorities. Work with shipping and logistics teams regarding order status. Assist with basic production and inventory reporting. Maintain accurate spreadsheets and department records. Escalate shortages, errors, delays, or other concerns. Provide administrative and coordination support to the operations team. Assist with special projects and process improvements. Build relationships with employees across production and office departments.

REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced work environment preferred. Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, retail, inventory, logistics, or order processing is a plus. Recent graduates are welcome to apply. Basic Excel skills. Comfortable working with numbers and performing basic calculations. Ability to understand measurements and quantities. Strong attention to detail. Dependable with strong follow-through. Comfortable communicating with both office and production employees. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks throughout the day. Willingness to learn new systems and processes.
