intern About Us Paws and Claws Cat Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats in need. We are a small but passionate team looking for a reliable and detail-oriented intern to support our day-to-day administrative operations onsite. Position Overview This is a hands-on, in-person unpaid internship ideal for someone who enjoys organization, working behind the scenes, and contributing to a mission-driven organization. You'll play a key role in keeping our administrative processes running smoothly while supporting our team and the animals we serve. Responsibilities Data entry and database updates Sorting and organizing documents and files Scanning and managing digital records Addressing envelopes and preparing mailings Writing handwritten thank-you notes to donors and supporters Capturing photos (cats, supplies, or events as needed) Assisting with light housekeeping tasks (laundry and dishes) to support daily operations Qualifications Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Clear, legible handwriting (required for donor correspondence) Comfortable with basic computer tasks (data entry, scanning, etc.) Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Willingness to contribute to a variety of tasks in a nonprofit environment Love for animals, especially cats!
