Overview Riversbend Kennel is seeking a compassionate and highly organized Kennel Operations Coordinator to support the daily care of dogs and puppies while coordinating kennel operations and customer services. This role is responsible for assisting with animal care, maintaining accurate health and breeding records, scheduling customer visits, coordinating puppy reservations, and ensuring the facility operates efficiently. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about animal welfare and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Coordinate daily kennel operations and support the care of puppies and adult dogs Maintain accurate records for vaccinations, health screenings, pedigrees, and customer reservations Assist with feeding schedules, kennel cleanliness, sanitation, grooming coordination, and general animal care Schedule customer visits, puppy selection appointments, and adoption pickups Communicate with prospective puppy owners regarding availability, adoption procedures, and health documentation Coordinate veterinary appointments, health examinations, and wellness records Prepare adoption packets, health certificates, registration paperwork, and customer documentation Monitor inventory of pet food, cleaning supplies, medications, and kennel equipment Support socialization and enrichment activities for puppies following established care standards Ensure compliance with company policies, animal welfare guidelines, and facility cleanliness standards Requirements Previous experience working with animals, veterinary clinics, kennels, pet care facilities, or customer service preferred Genuine passion for animal care and welfare Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail Comfortable working around dogs of all ages and sizes Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and record management systems Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Preferred Qualifications Experience in kennel management, dog breeding operations, veterinary assistance, or pet boarding facilities Knowledge of canine behavior, puppy development, and animal health practices Familiarity with AKC registration procedures and breeding documentation is a plus Experience using scheduling, CRM, or inventory management software Certification in Animal Care, Veterinary Assisting, or a related field is advantageous Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Pay & Benefits Competitive pay: $22 - $35 per hour (based on experience) Performance-based bonus opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and company holidays Ongoing training in animal care and kennel operations Opportunities for career advancement within the organization Friendly, family-oriented, and supportive work environment Why Join Riversbend Kennel?
