Jobs › Burlington, MA › Operations Assistant Robert Half Operations Assistant Burlington, MA Apply Description We are looking for a reliable Operations Assistant to support daily operational and inventory activities in Burlington, Massachusetts within a regulated medical device setting. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, follows established procedures carefully, and takes pride in maintaining accurate records. The role focuses on battery handling, inventory accuracy, equipment use, and general production support while helping the team maintain a safe and organized workplace.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out battery charging, conditioning, testing, and upkeep tasks by following approved operating instructions and documented procedures.
• Receive incoming battery units, assign and confirm identification details, apply proper labeling, and route items to the correct storage or work areas.
• Record battery status, test outcomes, location updates, and disposition details in tracking systems to maintain full documentation accuracy.
• Monitor both physical stock and electronic inventory records to ensure traceability and alignment across operational systems.
• Use chargers, cycling devices, and related maintenance equipment safely and effectively during routine servicing activities.
• Report damaged materials, abnormal test findings, safety concerns, or nonconforming items to the appropriate operations, engineering, or quality team members.
• Handle, move, and store batteries according to established environmental, health, safety, and quality requirements.
• Keep workstations and storage areas neat, clearly organized, and properly separated based on battery condition or processing stage.
• Communicate inventory issues, equipment concerns, and daily status updates to supervisors while assisting with additional production or operational tasks as needed. Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree or technical training is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, production, inventory support, laboratory operations, or another hands-on technical environment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow written instructions consistently and accurately.
• Experience maintaining records and working with electronic tracking, scanning, or inventory systems.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, manage timelines, and raise issues when needed.
• Mechanical or electrical aptitude is preferred; prior exposure to batteries, testing tools, or electronic components is helpful.
• Ability to remain onsite in Burlington, Massachusetts, perform repetitive manual tasks, and safely lift or move materials up to 30-40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
