We are headquartered is in Easton, Maryland, with additional operations and warehouse locations in Illinois, California, Texas, and Pennsylvania. We serve customers throughout the United States and maintain inventory across multiple locations to provide responsive and reliable service. We are a close-knit company where accuracy, problem-solving, responsiveness, and teamwork are essential. Employees in this position work directly with customer service, warehouse and production teams, vendors, and company management. Position Overview KDX America is seeking a highly organized and analytical Inventory & Production Planning Coordinator to support inventory purchasing, production scheduling, and inventory control. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving numerical puzzles and working through detailed operational challenges. The successful candidate will calculate material requirements, convert between multiple units of measure, select materials to minimize waste, and use inventory and production data to make sound decisions. Key Responsibilities Purchase inventory based on customer demand, sales forecasts, current stock levels, and supplier lead times. Monitor inventory across all warehouse locations and coordinate transfers between facilities. Receive inventory into the ERP system and verify quantities, lot information, and supporting documentation. Schedule slitting jobs and select appropriate master rolls to maximize material yield and minimize offcuts and waste. Prioritize and adjust production schedules to meet customer shipping deadlines. Communicate production priorities and material requirements to customer service, warehouse personnel, and slitter operators. Perform cycle counts, coordinate physical inventories, investigate variances, and maintain accurate inventory records. Convert between units of measure, including rolls, pounds, linear feet, square feet, and MSI. Prepare inventory and production reports and identify shortages, excess stock, slow-moving materials, and opportunities for improvement. Required Qualifications Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications. Ability to learn and work effectively within an ERP system. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and follow assignments through to completion. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, operations management, mathematics, engineering, or a related field. Experience in inventory control, purchasing, manufacturing, logistics, material planning, or production scheduling. Experience using an ERP or inventory-management system; NetSuite experience is especially helpful. Experience calculating material requirements, production yield, or unit-of-measure conversions. A college degree is preferred but not required. Candidates with equivalent directly relevant experience are encouraged to apply. Compensation Starting pay is $22.00-$27.00 per hour and will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications. Candidates with relevant higher education and/or directly related experience will be considered for compensation at the higher end of the posted range.
