Job Description

SUMMARY:
Performs functions to plan, coordinate, control and direct activities involving the scheduling and release of production orders, the requisitioning of product purchased parts, and the maintaining of effective inventory control records and system procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans and establishes the master schedules for production. Monitors material inventories, tracks progress of production and reviews factors that affect schedules. Makes necessary modifications to schedules, issuing orders to the appropriate department due to revisions. Leads setup planning meetings. Manages MRP lead times and inventory levels. Updates manning requirements and reviews with each plant. Manages and reports manning/capacity requirements. Sets up items and routings in Manufacturing Scheduling Systems Works with suppliers on meeting plant needs for delivery and lead times. Coordinates supplier APQP requirements. Assists in implementing supplier scorecards. Acts as Lean Champion and implements lean techniques in material department processes. Leads Manufacturing system upgrade. Streamlines intercompany processing and communication. Adheres to delivery requirements. Generates reports from Manufacturing for customers and suppliers on-time delivery.

EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent in accounting, finance, or business administration or equivalent; or four to ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
